Giving up on you is not an option!

As I get older, and I look around I notice a HUGE difference in the way people present themselves. I am fifty-three (I truly believe that I grew up in the greatest era) and I cannot comprehend what has happened in the minds of so many people. Now, please don't get me wrong, I believe in comfort without a doubt, but comfort doesn't have to be so sloppy. I see people, especially women, just giving up on themselves. Saying they don't care what others think. I see grown women going out in pajamas and robes...not to mention slippers! I hear and see women bragging about going seven to eight days because they are too lazy to wash their hair. Honestly, I'm baffled by it.

We can blame it on COVID, and the economy and a million other things, but the truth is, it is all between our ears. How we present ourselves is usually a reflection of how we feel about ourselves.
I am here to motivate you to get up and take the wheel back from the "auto-pilot" that is driving your life. This is the way I see it, GOD has given you another day, MAKE IT COUNT! You were created in the image of GOD. Do you think HE would just sit by and watch the world go by in sloppy clothes and dirty hair? No. I want to motivate you to go out and make a difference in the world. That's a tall task I know, but it all starts with YOU.
Baby Steps...
When you get up each day always tell yourself "something amazing is going to happen today" and spend the rest of the day looking for all amazing things going on around you. You will find that you find more things to appreciate and see more good. This is the law of attraction working in your life like you never dreamed.
I know what you are saying what does feeling good and looking for the positive have to do with the way I dress and present myself? I can only speak from my personal experience, but sometimes getting ready can put some of us into a downward spiral. If you are just starting to put pride into your exterior for the first time or the first time in a long time, it can be stressful. Starting in a good mind set is ALWAYS helpful.
A few tips:
Plan out your outfit for the day (try it on the day before or better yet earlier in the week. Check the weather and plan accordingly.
Give yourself extra time to fully relax while you are getting ready.
When you wake up, start to think about all the things you are or could be grateful for.
Don't try a new make-up routine or something crazy. I always get in the mood to try eyelashes...for years I cannot make them work, but I can ruin a morning trying.
Get excited about your day.
To many, ironing is over-rated but get yourself a steamer and make sure your clothes are wrinkle free (again this can be done the night before)
Thank God for all your blessings and tell him to use yourself to bless others.
YOU are the only person who you KNOW is going to be there your entire life. You have to take care of you; there is no doubt about it. This means be good to you. Say nice things to yourself. Be your own cheerleader for the day and make it a great day!
